Chicken Bread Rolls

Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, these Chicken Bread Rolls make the perfect snack or appetizer. Filled with flavorful chicken and cheese, they’re easy to make and impossible to resist.

Ingredients
 
 

For the Filling:
  • 500 g chicken breast
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 red bell pepper finely chopped
  • 1/2 green bell pepper finely chopped
  • 1 small red onion finely diced
  • 1/3 cup soy-based heavy cream or regular cream,  about ⅓ cup + 1 tbsp
  • 1 tbsp cream cheese
  • 80 g shredded mozzarella
For Bread & Coating:
  • 20-25 slices white sandwich bread
  • 2 pcs eggs beaten
  • 3/4 cup panko or regular breadcrumbs
For Sealing Paste (White Paste):
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2-3 tbsp water adjust to make a thick paste

  • Frying pan or skillet

Method
 

  1. Preheat your cooking method:
    - Air Fryer: 390°F (200°C), lightly grease basket.
    - Oven: 425°F (220°C), line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, toss gnocchi with neutral oil and all seasonings. If using frozen gnocchi, do not thaw.
  3. Cook until golden and crispy:
    - Air Fryer: 11–14 minutes (shelf-stable or refrigerated) or 13–16 minutes (frozen), shaking the basket every 4–5 minutes.
    - Oven: 20–25 minutes (shelf-stable or refrigerated) or 25–30 minutes (frozen), stirring halfway through. For extra crispiness, broil 1–2 minutes at the end.
  4. Once cooked, immediately toss hot gnocchi with vegan parmesan.
  5. For the dip, stir together vegan mayo, Sriracha, parsley, and lemon juice until smooth. Chill until serving.
  6. Serve crispy gnocchi hot with the spicy mayo dip on the side.
